Job Description

As a Youth Director at the YMCA, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young people in our community. This position is essential in developing programs that promote youth development, foster positive relationships, and ensure a safe environment for all participants.

Qualifications

Proven experience in childcare or youth programming is essential.

Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle crises effectively.

Knowledge of behavioral health principles as they relate to children and adolescents is preferred.

Experience working with child protective services or similar organizations is a plus.

Excellent communication skills to engage with youth, families, and community partners

Develop and implement engaging youth programs that promote personal growth and community involvement.

Supervise staff and volunteers working with youth to ensure high-quality programming.

Manage conflict resolution strategies among youth participants effectively.

Collaborate with families and community partners to support youth needs and well-being.

Monitor program effectiveness through feedback and assessments to enhance offerings.

Ensure compliance with child protective services regulations and best practices in youth safety.
