Under the direction of the Senior Director of Youth Development, the Associate Youth Development & Outreach Director leads the successful delivery of programs, curriculum and lesson planning of the Princeton YMCA’s School Age Child Care, A.C.E, and Camp. This position also supports youth development programs for our school district. Program areas include successfully managing the established Before and After School program services on site at our schools, developing and delivering Y Zones and, during the summer months, leading other initiatives to serve youth development and child care needs through the Princeton YMCA’s Day Camp Program.
· Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs.
· Working knowledge of the State of NJ Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing preferred.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
· Ability to operate general office equipment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Direct Program Service
· Successfully oversee Preschool;
· Collaborate closely with fellow Associate Youth Development and Outreach Directors to provide coverage and mutual support for one another's duties as needed, fostering a cooperative and adaptable work environment to achieve departmental objectives.
· Manage the child care program, including developing and monitoring the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in the program; securing, scheduling, and maintaining the facilities; creating and scheduling activities or events; and maintaining program records or files.
· Ensure programs and services meet community needs to include supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding programs within the community as needed. Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information.
· Direct and model teaching and lesson planning to ensure that programs meet the standards and requirements outlined by NJ State licensing, school district leadership, funders, parents and other stakeholders.
· Review program plans and records to ensure consistency with evidence-based best practices.
· Recruit and hire staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity. Onboard and develop them for success. Maintain staff schedules and evaluates staff performance.
· Model relationship-building skills in all interactions; develop and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, parents and caregivers, and community organizations to maximize program impact and drive overall outcomes; maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility.
· Function as a cooperative, productive member of the staff team; participate as a member of the Leadership Team.
· Must work within YMCA guidelines for hiring practices, conduct staff training according to YMCA standards, assist in coordination of relevant staff meetings and conduct at least one review of staff members. Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
· Ensure that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
· Organize or participate in Y activities, such as committees, special events, and fundraising.
· Ensure successful collection and documentation of program statistics for outcomes measurement and funding stewardship.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program.
Administrative/Registration and Billing
· Oversee and process all school-age child care and camp applications; ensure paperwork is complete and up to date.
· Answer questions promptly, provide information and serve members in a friendly and supportive manner.
· Enter data accurately into Daxko registration system.
· Monitor child payment schedules and track monthly and weekly payments to ensure that they are on schedule and current.
· Attend training events, conferences, and seminars to develop personally and professionally in the YMCA.
· Thorough regular on-site inspections, documentation review, and administrative coordination.
· Perform all other duties as assigned
