The YMCA of South Florida is seeking to hire a dynamic, collaborative, energetic individual as VP of Program Strategy and Impact. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Program Strategy and Impact will provide strategic leadership, develop organic program growth and direction to the YMCA of South Florida’s Product Line Programs (Aquatics, Family Services (Afterschool, Preschool and Summer Camp), and Sports), ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Association. The individual in this role will lead five teams with approximately 625 program staff, manage an overall budget of approximately $15M, foster collaboration, and drive program excellence. Program staff are comprised of 147 Aquatics, 167 Family Service, 4 Preschool, 102 Sports and 205 Wellness.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities required:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of leadership (strong preference for youth-serving organizational experience), education policy, program management or related field.
Proven success in strategic planning, organic program innovation and growth, leading multi-site operations, and negotiating contracts, and managing volunteers.
Must be currently serving in a leadership role and have 10 years’ experience of budget & oversite responsibility of over $15M within multiple sites / centers.
Proven experience leading multiple teams and program staff size of approximately 625 staff members.
Minimum of 10 years of experience leading Youth programs with over 1500 plus participants.
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing complex partnerships and relationships with municipalities, government agencies and funders.
Minimum of 10 years collaborating with community leaders, fundraising and acquiring sponsorships.
Expertise in data-driven decision-making, evaluation, and impact measurement.
Ability to develop presentations and communicate to key stakeholders the vision and impact of Y Programs.
Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.
Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to interact and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent computer skills, (Microsoft Office; Word and Excel).
Proficiency in Salesforce a plus.

Essential Functions / Job Duties:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
This high energy executive will be responsible for the development, implementation and organic growth of programs, team leadership, and relationship management. Specific responsibilities for this role include the following:
In partnership with the Product Line Leads - research, analyzing data, and staying abreast of industry trends to identify new program areas and potential areas for growth and innovation.
Lead the development of program budgets and resource allocation: Ensuring efficient use of resources and financial accountability. This includes finding new program sites (e.g. fields, indoor courts, etc.).
Monitor and evaluate program performance: Tracking progress against KPIs and adjusting as needed.
Ensure attainment of business plans for organic growth and profit through improved processes and management methods to generate higher returns on investment and workflow optimization.
Oversee the preparation of the annual program budget of approximately $15M for the Family Center Product Lines and monitor monthly financial reports to understand variances and assure revenue targets are met, and expenses are controlled.
Implement and oversee a program evaluation system to guarantee faithfulness to the Y’s cause, and a high-quality and safety commitment to YMCA standards.
Ensure the organic operational growth of the YMCA through program expansion, member recruitment and retention, pricing strategies, new site development, collaborations as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Identify, secure and negotiate potential areas for family center cooperative programming to accomplish YMCA goals, and work with staff groups to develop and implement programs.
Foster a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs and lead Family Center program staff in the planning, development and implementation of new program initiatives and activities.
