1. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Two to five years related experience.
3. Supervision experience.
4. Able to work flexible schedules.
5. Certifications: CPR and First Aid.
6. YMCA Team Leader certificate within three years.
1. Manages, directs, and coordinates Child Watch, Kids’ Club (Before and After School Program), School Break Camps, Summer Day Camp, Preschool, Extended Care, and other programs.
2. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve retention and program goals.
3. Ensures high quality programs and establishes new program activities that meet YMCA objectives. Expands programs in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Maintains proper records, department files and equipment. Assists in the distribution of program information.
4. Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives. Manages program drafts, invoices, and past due balances in conjunction with the Director of Finance.
5. Develops and maintains relationships with school administration, parents, community partners and organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Responds to all agency, parent, and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
6. Oversees the Support Champions and assists with future inclusive initiatives.
7. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
8. Assists with compiling data for grant requests and fulfilling grant requirements.
9. Organizes and plans family/youth special events.

Holds staff accountable for high-quality results using a formal process to measure progress.

Utilizes non-threatening methods to address sensitive issues and inappropriate behavior or performance. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology.
