Senior Membership Director, Semones YMCA

The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking a Senior Membership Director for our Semones YMCA. 
Job Description

Under the direction of the VP of Operations and Associate Executive Director, the Senior Membership Director manages all membership and active older adult related experiences & activities within the branch operations in accordance with the purposes & policies of the Association for the Semones Family YMCA. Additionally, this role manages the promotional activities which attract new members & administers his/her approved budget. The incumbent will serve as a staff liaison to a Branch Board Committee and play an active leadership role in the Branch Annual Campaign; and will ensure The Semones Y is represented by staff at all Association Membership Department Meetings/Events.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 5 years customer service/manager experience preferred.
  • YUSA Senior Director preferred.
  • Formal training in customer service is necessary.
  • Experience in supervision, budgeting & program design/management required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise discriminating and independent judgment.
  • Minimum physical fitness requirements include the ability to stand, walk, run jump, & train for a period of up to 60 -75 minutes.
  • Full upper body range of motion and upper body strength to lift up to 25 lbs. is essential.
  • This position has a direct impact on the overall effectiveness with which the branch accomplishes its membership objective and program goals.
  • Ability to contribute to total staff efforts directly impacts the overall success of the branch.
Essential Functions
  • Establish and maintain harmonious relationships by promoting and demonstrating caring, honesty, respect and responsibility with staff, lay leaders, YMCA members and program participants and the general public.
  • Responsible for the Membership Services departments at the Semones Family YMCA, including membership growth, membership satisfaction and membership retention.
  • In conjunction with the marketing department, this position is responsible for new sales, corporate partnerships, membership promotions and membership recognition and appreciation activities as well as community image and awareness.
  • Responsible for all membership incentive challenges and special membership/community events.
  • Accountable for managing the Membership Services staff along with supervision of Child Watch, Active Older Adult, and all possible new programs within the branch
  • This position is responsible for various member and program participant account issues.
  • Responsibilities with the Annual Campaign.
  • Incumbent will implement all YMCA policies and procedures for risk management/ safety for all staff, volunteers and participants.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned by the VP of Operations and Associate Executive Director or procedures assigned by the Association.
